VACANCY FOR A FIXED TERM CONTRACT CLASSROOM TEACHER

REQUIRED FOR SEPTEMBER 2018 until 31st AUGUST 2019

SALARY MPS plus 2 SEN POINTS

Orchard Manor will be a new school from September 2018 as a result of a highly successful merger of Ratcliffe School and Oaklands Park School and is situated in the beautiful coastal town of Dawlish in Devon. It is a very successful and highly regarded residential/day school catering for 160 students aged 5 – 16 years. Our pupils have a range of needs including learning difficulties communication and interaction difficulties, Autism and social development needs. Our standards in both education and care are very high and we offer a structured and supportive environment to all our students and staff.

 

We are seeking to appoint an excellent classroom practitioner for September 2018 for a 12 month contract, four days a week. The successful applicant will be highly ambitious for students whatever their aptitude or ability. You will be required to teach a Year 7 group. You would be required to teach most subjects within a nurture style curriculum (similar to a primary model). Experience of working with SEND including ASD pupils would be an advantage.

.NIGHT SUPERVISION OFFICER

Orchard Manor School (comprising Oaklands Park and Ratcliffe School) is situated in the beautiful coastal town of Dawlish in Devon and seeks to appoint a Night Supervision Officer to work as part of the Residential Care Team.

The school caters for 160 children aged 3 to 19 years within a new Early Years Foundation Stage, KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4 and Post-16 who have ASC, Learning Difficulties and associated needs. There are 35 residential places.

The successful candidate will be able to work as part of a team reporting to the Deputy Principal Head of Care.

Main duties will include monitoring electronic security and video surveillance systems, ensuring that security arrangements and fire safety precautions are observed, liaison with sleeping in personnel or duty senior, pupil administration and laundry as required. The successful candidate will be part of the Residential Care Team that provides support for our residential students.

Ratcliffe  School is a part day/residential school that caters for 105 students aged 5 to 16 years with a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder and associated communication and interaction needs.

Oaklands Park School is a part day/residential school that caters for 60 students aged 3 to 19 years with a Severe Learning Difficulties, Interaction and Communication needs and Autism.
